At The Woodshed, we believe in a simple mantra – Remind yourself that you don’t have to do what everyone else is doing! We blindly encourage our willingness to innovate and our curiosity to learn more.
Oriented Strand Board (OSB) is an engineered wood product made by compressing layers of wood strands (flakes) with adhesives, under heat and pressure.
OSB is formed by aligning wood strands in specific orientations—outer layers are generally aligned longitudinally, while inner layers are cross-oriented or random—to enhance strength and stability. It’s produced from fast-growing, small-diameter trees like aspen, poplar, pine, or spruce, making it a sustainable alternative to plywood.
